Call for Nominations: Editor of Financial Services Review
The Academy of Financial Services (AFS) is seeking nominations for the next Editor of Financial Services Review (FSR), the academy’s flagship peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the study and advancement of personal financial management.
About Financial Services Review
Since its inception, FSR has been a leading publication in financial planning, investment management, risk tolerance, and related areas. The journal provides a platform for high-quality research that bridges academia and practice in personal financial services.
Editor Responsibilities
The Editor will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the peer-review process and ensuring high academic and editorial standards.
- Managing manuscript submissions and coordinating with reviewers and authors.
- Setting the strategic direction for the journal’s growth and impact.
- Collaborating with the AFS Board and publisher to enhance journal visibility.
Qualifications
Candidates should:
- Have a strong academic record in financial services, financial planning, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrate editorial or leadership experience in academic publishing.
- Be committed to promoting rigorous, innovative, and practitioner-relevant research.
Nomination Process
Nominations, including self-nominations, should include:
- A letter of interest highlighting relevant experience and vision for the journal.
- A current CV.
- Any supporting materials showcasing editorial or leadership experience.
