Personal and Household Finance Letters (PHFL) invites nominations for Section Editors to join its founding editorial collective.

Role of Section Editors

Section Editors play a central role in shaping PHFL’s intellectual direction and scholarly standards. Section Editors are expected to:

  • Contribute short-form papers to PHFL on a regular basis.
  • Serve as peer reviewers for submitted manuscripts.
  • Participate in editorial discussions and governance decisions.
  • Function as ambassadors for PHFL within their professional and academic networks.

Eligibility

Nominees should have demonstrated expertise or professional standing in one or more of the following areas:

  • Personal finance
  • Financial planning
  • Financial counseling
  • Financial therapy
  • Household finance or related fields

Both academic scholars and practitioner-scholars are encouraged to be considered.

Nomination and Selection Process

  • Nominations are reviewed and voted on by the Editor and Section Editors.
  • Final approval rests with the Editor, who retains veto authority.

Appointment as a Section Editor reflects a commitment to collegial scholarship, intellectual contribution, and shared responsibility for the success of PHFL.
